Integral

[in-ti-gruh l, in-teg-ruh l]

1.      necessary to the completeness of the whole

2.      entire; complete; whole

3.      lacking nothing essential

In western medical philosophy, health care and maintenance are focused on individual, physical parts of the body while the whole of the individual Being is largely ignored. While this approach is fine for alleviating symptoms and relieving the immediate issues, it does nothing to improve one's overall physical and emotional wellness.

The Integral Way of Being revolves around seeing ourselves as complex beings with an infinite number of factors that impact our physical, emotional and Spiritual health. By working toward integrating all aspects of ourselves, we can become more complete and harmonious. Addressing only the individual parts without regard for our whole being promotes imbalance and disharmony in our lives.
